A road trip that brings Italian cuisine to the United States, featuring a guest ingredient: coffee.
For most of us, coffee is the first rite of passage of the day. It is something of a universal language, one that crosses oceans to reinvigorate people and amaze new palates.
And that’s not all. Because now, it is also an original and noble ingredient for extravagant recipes.
Thanks to a series of delicious events organised in New York, as well as Chicago and Boston, Lavazza became one of the stars of the international culinary congress - Identità Golose. In 2017, Chefs like Massimo Bottura, Davide Oldani and Roberto Cerea participated in Identita Golose and gave free rein to their culinary flair, bringing the fascination and passion of Italian cuisine and Lavazza coffee to the USA.
One of the most important events in honour of Identità Golose was held at Eataly NYC Flatiron, one of Eataly’s most visited branches in the world. During this event, Bottura, Oldani and Cerea experimented with the culinary versatility of the pure and noble Kafa espresso. Kafa, whose name comes from the Ethiopian region where the Arabica variety has its origins, is a play on words on the etymological root of the word “coffee”.
From Italy to New York, there’s one product you’ll often find in your espresso cup: Lavazza.
